A Look Back 100 Years

A celebration of the last 100 years of The Ridge-Culver Volunteer Fire Department.
The Ridge-Culver Fire Department was organized in 1921 and incorporated in 1922 to protect lives and property in an area of Irondequoit known as the Ridge-Culver Fire District. The firehouse operated out of a building at the rear of the present Walgreens drug store. Years Ago, the Forest House Bar & Restaurant was on the corner, and the next building to the north was the Avon Dairy. The firehouse was located in the rear of the Dairy.
In 2021, the Ridge-Culver Volunteer Fire Association celebrated its Centennial. To honor the great men and women of the department, the Association Yearbook Committee has put together a look back at the past 100 years. This beautiful compilation is available on Amazon.com. All royalties will benefit the Ridge-Culver Volunteer Fire Association.
